WHY MENTORING?
Rogue Valley Mentoring provides caring adult relationships to young people who need it the most. Our mentors provide support, guidance, and appreciation for each youth’s unique gifts. The mentoring relationship fosters positive personal development and opens the door to social and economic opportunities.
Business Return on Investment
Savvy businesses realize it is in their best interest to invest in tomorrow’s workforce.
Unfortunately many young people enter adulthood poorly prepared to work.
The good news is that National research shows that mentored youth are:
- 55% more likely to enroll in college
- 78% more likely to volunteer regularly
- 130% more likely to hold leadership positions
By participating in mentoring programs, young people increase emotional intelligence, self-management and the ability to relate to others- skills that are crucial to success in the workplace.
